Will "Patriot Movement" Kill Tax Protests

The so-called "patriot movement," well-known to be infiltrated by Clintonista agents, the FBI, ATF, CIA, the so-called Illuminati, ad infinitum, may soon be responsible for the destruction of yet another of our rights guaranteed by the US Constitution: redressing grievances, a right that is pretty much dead anyway. And this--if my humble opinion is correct--is how they will do it. What, you may ask, am I talking about? The annihilation of our right not to pay an illegal income tax. You see, the Federal Income Tax, the IRS, and the 16th Amendment are all illegal, and finally, an ex-IRS agent has claimed this to be so.

Far be it for me to say that Joseph Banister, ex-IRS cop, should cease his case against the IRS. No, he should do what his conscience tells him, especially now that World Net Daily has written numerous articles in his defense. Banister is, in fact, the Tax Protest Movement's best hope for redressing these grievances. But, unfortunately, the so-called "Patriot Movement" has taken up his cause, and, as this movement so often does by design, will muck-with-an-f it up. Big Time! Even if they don't intend to!

Yeah, yeah, yeah, you, the reader--and if you read OmegaZine! you do have a brain--think I'm saying don't bother to redress greivances because The Man will eventually respond in the negative, repressing all our rights. But I do have a point about being careful who you allow into your rights-protecting agenda. Case in point: Richard Lance McLaren, leader of the so-called Republic of Texas movement back in 1995-1997.What started out as a local (Jeff Davis County, Texas) reform movement spearheaded mainly by McLaren's legal paperwork (which then-Texas AG Dan Morales called "Paper Terrorism") through the Davis Mts. Land Commission became, thanks to Texas militia-heads, "patriot" types, and power wanna-bes--all infiltrated by government agents--a movement that culminated in the violent, illegal and immoral Republic of Texas Standoff, April 27-May 3, 1997, in which one of the participants, Mike Matson, was killed and McLaren and the others are now spending the rest of their lives in jail. McLaren, who, as he became more quasi-powerful, tended to shoot off his mouth, did so to several FBI/CIA agents who later testified against him (one of them posed as a doctor and was introduced to Rick by Carolyn Carney, Secretary of the Republic of Texas: Carney always claimed she was security conscious. Ha!)

Get my point? If you protest any govt. action, be very careful as to who you let into your protest.

Now, on to Banister's soapbox.

According to the World Net Daily Article, The Truth About the IRS

On July 1 and 2, Banister and other experts on the 16th Amendment will be speaking at a special symposium at the National Press Club. The one-and-a-half day event will begin at 9 a.m.

The sponsors are calling it an "IRS Showdown."

Speaking with Banister will be William Benson, author of the two-volume magnum opus "The Law that Never Was"; Devvy Kidd, whose appearances on the Geoff Metcalf radio talk show inspired Banister to begin his investigations; William Conklin, author of "Why Nobody is Required to File Tax Returns," another of Banister's mentors; and constitutional attorney Larry Becraft.

Benson is, I believe, a Constitutional lawyer. Devvy Kidd is known in the patriot movement as someone who tried to run for the House of Reps a couple of years ago, and was given wide support by movement journals like The Free American. Conklin I am not familiar with, and anyone who knows anything about the movement has heard of Becraft. To be perfectly fair, these people may be exactly what they are purported to be: folks fighting to preserve our freedoms and fighting to end injustice.

But what if they are only infiltrators, setting up the American people for further repression, and, in this case, mandatory taxation?

And what if the raod to hell is paved with good intentions and forced taxation occurs anyway? I can see it all now--these and other folks convince Congress to revoke the illegal 16th Amendment. Fine. Then Clinton--or Bush or whoever is President--dishes out another in the long line of Executive Orders forcing all Americans except them and their power elite friends to pay this illega tax, on pain of jail or worse. Believe me, I can see it all now.

Sure, most Americans (and this group includes me, by the way--so don't get any mucked-with-an-f up ideas) continue to pay this illegal tax, whether in ignorance or fear (or, in my case, I make so little I always get a refund), and will continue to do so regardless of what Banister and the others do. But there are quite a few Americans who do not file tax returns, the reason being filing is voluntary, and it says so in the IRS codes, or because they are "drop outs," whatever. And it would be a real shame if these individuals, who are now not breaking any laws, are soon forced to file, just because of well-intentioned--or ill-intentioned--leaders.

What I am saying to these leaders is this: leave the tax protest movement alone!
